These 3M Safety and Security Films offer a clear, single-layer polyester film coated with a
special thicker adhesive designed to help hold broken glass together for improved safety
of the glazing and security for the structure. Film thickness ranges from 7 mil to 14 mil
thickness, depending upon the specific film selected.

The 3M Impact Protection System combines the
toughness of the 3M Ultra Safety and Security Window
Film and 3M Impact Adhesive to create a more flexible
membrane to capture and absorb the impact energy.

Since the BondKap™ BK 2001 System assures the
shape and contact area as specified by the 3M Impact
Protection System. We also know it makes the
installation easier, cleaner, adds a backer bead and will
also leave an original manufactured look with mitered
corners.
